Like you, I learnt about Jeanne Moreau’s demise, and I was not sad about it, because legends do not die, don’t they?

  1. 1. JEANNE MOREAU (1928-2017) Like you, I learnt about Jeanne Moreau’s demise, and I was not sad about it, because legends do not die, don’t they? But her physical demise triggered this tribute of mine. Jeanne Moreau was destined to be an actress, a « comédienne », it is so obvious that we cannot come to terms imagining her in another profession. What do I keep from Jeanne Moreau, talent obviously, but also in the back of my mind her unmistakable voice coming back in circle. In her rich filmography, I did like the 1968 Francois Truffaut’s « La Mariée était en Noir », and more recently the 2005 François Ozon’s « Le Temps Qui Reste », with Melvil Poupaud. Jeanne Moreau sang also, I remember « Le Tourbillon » and the 1963 « J’ai La Mémoire Qui Flanche ». This « comédienne » played with the greatest filmmakers : Marc Allégret, Martin Ritt, Michelangelo Antonioni, Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut, Joseph Losey, Orson Welles, Jacques Demy, Louis Malle, Marcel Ophüls, Luis Buñuel, Jean Renoir, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Bertrand Blier, André Téchiné … Merci Madame Jeanne Moreau. ©2017 Teddy Crispin M. Crispin is also an accomplished author, he has written poetry « Dix Petits Poèmes And More » distributed by Amazon, and the beautiful and original biography « Dalida (1933- 1987) : Trentième Anniversaire », also distributed by Amazon.
