  20. 20. "Editing in its simplest form is this: Take a video you’ve shot and cut out all the parts you don’t like." - Steve Stockman
  21. 21. Everything is “less” than you think. (exercise of breaking down shots in a commercial you like)
  22. 22. Every shot in the final video should matter.

  32. 32. Learning what makes a good (single) edit? Do you “notice” the edit? (changing standards online)
  33. 33. Keep it simple… …particularly with effects and transitions. Showing off is not a good look – it’s distracting.
  34. 34. Making footage easier to edit It can be overwhelming to go through a lot of footage! • Shoot short, purposeful shots (~10 seconds) • Delete footage that you’re definitely not using • Use descriptive file names
