  2. 2. The Horrific Facts <ul><li>For hundreds of thousands of years the human population grew at a low but steadily increasing rate. </li></ul><ul><li>In less than 200 years the world population went from several hundreds of millions to more than 6 billion people. </li></ul>
  3. 3. People’s Thoughts <ul><li>Many people believe, that the Earth resources are endless and population growth can continue and that there is no danger that we will ever run out of anything. </li></ul><ul><li>That’s untrue! </li></ul>
  4. 4. Countries’ Attempts <ul><li>Nowadays countries have to do something about this problem before it gets out of hand. </li></ul><ul><li>They try to keep it in the background, sometimes they lie! </li></ul>
  5. 5. The Interesting Fact <ul><li>Do you know that the USA itself consumes 50 per cent of all electricity produced on the Earth? The population of the USA is just around 285 millions people. </li></ul>
  6. 6. What does overpopulation do? <ul><li>It destroys our environment, lowering the standards of living and generally degrading the quality of life. </li></ul><ul><li>It causes more violence. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Conclusion <ul><li>The planet needs population control. Birth control need to be supported, if the planet is to remain habitable in the long term. </li></ul>
