Wind <ul><li>Wind can pick up loose materials and transport them to other places. </li></ul><ul><li>Air usually cannot pick up heavy sediments like water, but wind CAN carry and deposit the sediments over large areas and loooong distances. </li></ul><ul><li>Wind erodes the land by deflation and abrasion. </li></ul><ul><li>Deflation </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Wind removing sediment by blowing it away to another place. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Abrasion </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The erosion that occurs when wind blows the sediment and causes it to scrape and wear away the surface of objects. </li></ul></ul>
