5. 5. Project Description
The group project we decided to do is to feed the homeless. On average the shelter serves between 60 and 70 people per night. Our group is going to provide and serve one meal to the homeless. Each member of our group, and the volunteers we recruite, will bring eight dollars to help pay for the food. We will have a total of one hundred and four dollars to spend at Sam's Club, where the food will be purchased. We will serve hot dogs and water at this meal.
6. 6. The hot dog franks are $15.94 for an eighty count box, buns will cost $9.40 for an eighty count pack, Frito Lay flavor pack of chips will cost $20.76 for a box of one hundred, the case of water will cost $11.94 for 96 bottles, plates will cost $7.98 for a pack of one hundred and twenty, napkins will be $9.98, Ketchup, Mustard, and Relish will cost $7.98 for a value pack, and lastly a box of trash bags for the clean-up will cost $9.36. The grand total of all our products will be $93.29. We will bring a grill from home and use the tables provided by the shelter to make this project a success.
