Graduated from NTUA, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and received his degree in this area in 1993. He obtained his PhD degree in Medical Informatics from the NTUA in 1999. During 1999-2000 he used to work in MEDISOFT SA as Medical Informatics Engineer dealing with Security and Smartcards Interfaces related to Healthcare applications. From 2001 to 2005 he used to work in CCS SA in the Medical Informatics Department as head engineer of the Laboratory Information Management System (Medilab LIMS) together with the HL7 Communication Interface.
