  4. 4. Deakin University CRICOS Provider Code: 00113B ACADEMIC SURVEY Survey on your use of Talis Aspire – we need your feedback   Thank you for participating in the Library’s trial of the Talis Aspire resource list management software for EEH101   As part of the trial’s review, we are compiling feedback from our users and would appreciate your help assessing the software.   The following statistics show the use of your lists: (Please note the analytics dashboard was offline for Week 6 and 7 )   EEH101 Page views             2785 Clicks                        1444
  5. 5. Deakin University CRICOS Provider Code: 00113B ACADEMIC SURVEY (1) • Did the resource list satisfactorily meet your teaching needs? • How did you link your lists in CloudDeakin – No link – Talis list was the only link – Links to both the Talis list, e-readings and/ or another form of list? • Did you edit the list yourself or change the list after it was initially created? • If we continue to use Talis Aspire, would you be happy to create reading lists yourself or want to have some support? • The statistics above are from the dashboard feature of the list? Were you aware of it and will it be useful to you?
  6. 6. Deakin University CRICOS Provider Code: 00113B ACADEMIC SURVEY (2) • Did you receive any comments from students, either positive or negative about the reading lists? If so, were these comments directly related to the Talis product or about other issues with resources? • Do you have any other comments about the lists, what you would like to see, anything you didn't like? • Would you like the Library to develop a list for any Trimester 2 units that you are involved with? • Would you recommend this product as a university wide solution for resource list management? • Would you be available for the Library to have a further chat with you about the trial?
  7. 7. Deakin University CRICOS Provider Code: 00113B ACADEMIC SURVEY - RESPONSES • “I found the resource to be user-friendly, logical and helpful! It really helped me to overcome frustrating issues I’ve experienced in the past related to Cloud Deakin links to library website content not working properly. I did not receive any emails or messages from students to suggest they had difficulties accessing any materials which was a WONDERFUL change. This has definitely saved me time and energy this trimester. And I love that as I read articles or find useful resources, I just click the ‘add’ button in Mozilla and I can add it to a list for students to read in the future. Great for keeping resources up-to-date and relevant.”
  8. 8. Deakin University CRICOS Provider Code: 00113B ACADEMIC SURVEY - RESPONSES • “I confess that as an academic my main aim is just to get a unit up and running. In relation to readings, they just need to be there with legal clearance and readily available in a good format to me and the students. Exactly how or what system delivers it I really don't care about.”
