How to Create and Customize a Sign-Up Form in MailChimp

  1. 1. How to Build and Customize a General Sign Up Form in Mailchimp
  2. 2. Log in to your MailChimp Account
  3. 3. Enter your Username and Password
  4. 4. Click Log In
  5. 5. The Dashboard will open
  6. 6. Click on Lists from the Dashboard menu
  7. 7. The Lists page will open
  8. 8. Select the List where you want to create a sign up form
  9. 9. The list, “Special Event #1” is chosen
  10. 10. Click the “Special Event #1” link
  11. 11. This page will open
  12. 12. Click “Signup forms”
  13. 13. This page will open
  14. 14. Click “General forms”
  15. 15. This page will open
  16. 16. Click the “Build it” tab
  17. 17. This default form will open with the list title shown in red box
  18. 18. To add extra fields, choose a field type from the Add a field tab on the right side of the page.
  19. 19. Let’s add a Birthday field in the form
  20. 20. Click the Birthday button
  21. 21. A Birthday field is added to the form
  22. 22. To customize a field in the sign up form…
  23. 23. Click to select a field (highlighted in yellow) then edit settings on right.
  24. 24. Let us customize the Birthday field
  25. 25. After customizing the field, click “Save Field” button
  26. 26. To add extra layer security to the form, check the “Protect your signup form with reCAPTCHA” box on the Create forms page.
