Reflectors used for photoelectric sensors located in Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical environments are usually exposed to harsh cleaning processes that involve high water pressure cleaning, abrasive and aggressive chemical agents. For this reason, when selecting a reflector for these applications you have to make sure your reflector is capable of withstanding such environmental challenges. Selection of an inappropriate reflector, for example, can cause fissures and water filtration which will drastically reduce the light returned to the sensor’s receiver leading to inaccurate object detection. The Solution Telemecanique Sensors ECOLAB certified and IP69K protection degree reflectors specially suited for Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical and other challenging applications. Thanks to a dedicated material, these reflectors are resistant to different abrasive chemical agents and high pressure water cleaning processes present in these industrial applications. OsiSense XUZ ECOLAB reflectors have been tested by immersion in different cleaning solutions (acids and basic) at 80º C during a period of up to 2 weeks. Additionally, high performance reflectors with microcube technology are available for use with photoelectric sensors with laser emissions.
