FACEcamp – the Facade Competence Center (CoCe) Approach for the definition and creation of the CoCe The definition and the establishment of the centre will be performed with a bottom-up approach thanks to the involvement of both IT and AT actors. Expected results: (1) the establishment of a cross-border and internationally recognised competence centre (2) the reduction of the knowledge gap among stakeholders, and (3) the increase of the competitiveness of local actors offering excellence in the sector. The local expertise in the field will be strengthened and highlighted, thus creating the basis for an increased attractiveness of the territory in terms of new businesses and related workplaces. Life Cycle Costs data handler to support advanced façade business models and investment. • Development of integrated façade system economics, by defining a method to evaluate and present/publish related costs and values in a comprehensive, structured and replicable approach, including O&M and end-of-cycle residual value. • Integration of digital information on life cycle costs into the BIM environment. Comprehensive performance metric extending the M&V approach as developed in the FACEcamp project. • Developing a method to evaluate how facade systems affect glare, definition of practical KPIs, metrics and tools, to be used in procurement procedures and potentially in a certification system. This can be an added feature of BIM objects. • Development of a method and tools for acoustic and fire characterisation for lamellas. This can also be an added feature of a specific BIM object. Connect BIM environment with performance evaluation platform for performing energy and structural assessment of advanced façade systems. • Development of an interface for coupling BIM environment with performance assessment tools and monitoring database. • Definition of advanced tools for energy and comfort analysis: how façade system affect building performances in the life cycle. • Definition of an advanced tool for structural analysis of façades.
