OBJECTIVES OF THE PROMOKIDS NETWORK  to establish the network between experts in the Nordic countries.  to strengthen Nordic cooperation and networking for promoting children's health and preventing obesity.  to disseminate and embed good practices and policies.  to emphasize children’s health promotion and obesity prevention in the Nordic countries taking into account early prevention, role of different actors and the importance of living environment and community. 20.8.2019 Esityksen nimi / Tekijä 3

GOALS OF PROMOKIDS NETWORK  to share good experiences and ideas on how to implement the recommendations of the report of the Commission on Ending Childhood Obesity report (WHO) in the Nordic countries.  to share good experiences and ideas on how to implement the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations (NNR) in the Nordic countries  to share good practices in monitoring of childhood obesity: How do we monitor today and how should we monitor in the future (in order to ensure available and comparable data).  to share good experiences and ideas on how to collaborate in reformulation of foods and beverages and in marketing of foods and non-alcoholic beverages to children. 20.8.2019 Esityksen nimi / Tekijä 4

WHAT HAVE WE DONE SO FAR?  The PromoKids project started in January 2018.  First workshop was held in Iceland on 2nd-3rd of October. – The workshop was organized in co-operation with the Nordic Public Health Arena Center in conjunction with a Nordic children's obesity seminar “Healthy life for Children”. – The first workshop focused on strengthening Nordic co- operation and networking as well as on presenting Nordic health promotion and childhood obesity prevention projects and policies.  The websites of the PromoKids: thl.fi/promokids.  Next workshop in 2020 20.8.2019 Esityksen nimi / Tekijä 5
