  1. 1. Introduction to TAUS DQF Dashboard
  2. 2. DQF Dashboard Home Page ● The home page https://qd.taus.net/ shows the average productivity of all DQF users. Use the controls to filter the data, or to make direct comparisons between groups of data.
  3. 3. Project Reports
  4. 4. DQF Dashboard Project List ● The DQF Dashboard shows the list of your and your organization’s projects.
  5. 5. General Project Overview ● Select a project to see the project overview. ● The project overview shows you all the general attributes of the project and the available reports for this project. ● If more than one user from your organization has participated in this project, you can switch user views to access the reports based on the scope of the project that each user was involved in.
  6. 6. General Project Overview ● Projects can have translation tasks, correction and/or error annotation tasks. Depending on the tasks that you have been involved in, the DQF Dashboard will show you reports on translation, correction and/or error annotation tasks. ● The translation reports focus mainly on productivity during translation. The correction reports show statistics about the corrections that were made during the review, while reports about error annotation focus on the amount and type of error annotations made during the review.
  7. 7. Project Reports: Translation ● The Average productivity chart shows you the productivity results across target languages and segment origin types, based on how many words per hour, on average, were translated.
  8. 8. Project Reports: Translation ●The Segment statistics chart tells you the source of the translations in your project. This can be translation memory, machine translation, human translation, or other origins. It also shows if the pre-translated content needed further editing, or was left unedited, as well as illustrates the edit distance.
  9. 9. Project Reports: Translation ● The Time spent chart provides you with information about the total time spent on translation. You can get a breakdown per language, or per segment origin.
  10. 10. Project Reports: Correction ● The correction report contain the chart Percentage of corrected segments. This chart shows you how many segments were corrected during the review task.
  11. 11. Project Reports: Correction ● The Correction density chart shows you how many corrections were made per 100 characters.
  12. 12. Project Reports: Error Annotation ● The error annotation reports contain the chart Percentage of segments with errors. This chart shows you how many segments were annotated with errors during the review.
  13. 13. Project Reports: Error Annotation ● The chart Error density shows how many errors were annotated in every 1000 words on average.
  14. 14. Project Reports: Error Annotation ● The number of errors multiplied by the relative weight is shown in the Weighted errors chart. This chart also shows whether the total number of penalty points is within the pass/fail threshold or not. Green color indicates a pass, and red indicates a fail.
  15. 15. Project Reports: Error Annotation ● For a breakdown of annotated errors in type and severity, consult the chart Error distribution.
  16. 16. More Info ● Need more information about the charts? Every chart has a little info button with extra information regarding the chart. More detailed information can be found under each chart by clicking on More about this chart.
  17. 17. Benchmark Reports
  18. 18. Benchmark Reports: Productivity ● The Productivity benchmark allows you to compare your results against the averages in your organization and in the industry. Use filters and groupings to zoom in to specific languages, content types and other variables.
  19. 19. Benchmark Reports: Correction Density ● The Correction density benchmark allows you to compare the number of corrections in your projects against the averages in your organization and in the industry. Use filters and groupings to zoom in to specific languages, content types and other variables.
  20. 20. Benchmark Reports: Error Density ● The Error density benchmark allows you to compare the number of errors in your projects against the averages in your organization and in the industry. Use filters and groupings to zoom in to specific languages, content types and other variables.
  21. 21. Benchmark Reports: Weighed Error Density ● The Weighted errors benchmark allows you to compare the number of weighted errors in your projects against the averages in your organization and in the industry. Use filters and groupings to zoom in to specific languages, content types and other variables.
  22. 22. Trend Reports
  23. 23. Trend reports: Productivity ● The Productivity trend report shows the average translation productivity rate over time. Select the appropriate scope to analyze the productivity trends in your own projects, in your organization or in the industry. You can also compare these scopes by applying the grouping switches in the controls bar.
  24. 24. Trend reports: Edit Density ● The Edit Density trend report shows the average Levenshtein distance per 100 target characters (in translation tasks). Use filters and groupings to zoom in to specific languages, content types and other variables, as well as adjust the selected time period and time step.
  25. 25. Trend reports: Correction Density ● The Correction Density trend report shows the average Levenshtein distance per 100 target characters (in review tasks). Maximize the Advanced Options tab to adjust the chart height and the font size, as well as to connect discrete data points.
