The school had a senior teacher working as part—time counselor who advised students on various careers, colleges and courses but the counselor had concerns in dealing effectively with large number of students, due to lack of time to focus on each student individually and henceforth the school felt the need for a comprehensive ‘Counseling Support System’ that could provide the following - Ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for each student. - Clearly definedMonitor progress of each student around career, college search etc to facilitate student improvement. - Be systematic in nature, clearly defined and accountable for ensuring overall development of students in terms of skills and henceforth bridging the achievement 93P-

Concern Areas for Counsellor SECONDARY CONCERN PRIMARY CONCERN Assisting students in their academic, career and personal-social development apart from discharging duties as a school teacher was indeed a concern because of lack of time to focus on each student. Absence of an online support system to track progress of senior school students in terms of choices made by them around career aspects, university offers received, college admissions etc. Lack of streamlined, validated and relevant information at one place around career, courses, colleges etc to guide senior school students in best possible manner. Certain aspects for the students around counseling required outsourcing to external experts, which incurred heavy expenditure at the school's end.

Univariety, contacted the school for helping it resolve their counseling issues through its ‘Outplacement system'. lt aimed at the following I Providing relevant, streamlined information on Careers, Courses, Colleges, Test Guidelines, Preparation guidance centers and Progress Checks. v Guiding students from ‘Aspiration’ to ‘Admission’, by providing them constant support through queries, mails, workshops etc. > Tracking progress of each senior school student, in terms of admission offers received from universities around the world, scholarships received, academic resume completion etc. > Providing admission offers to senior school students from universities around the world and also Backup plans to students, in terms of colleges, courses etc. > Provision of equitable access to educational opportunities around the world to each student for ensuring academic success and overall development.

Benefits to the School and Counsellor ‘ REDUCED EXPENDITURE The online ‘Counseling Support System‘ of Univariety helped the school reduce their charges on hiring external counselors and also outsourcing activities around counseling to experts. SUPPORT SYSTEM Univariety's strong IT support system could track the progress & activity of each student around career selection, courses preferred and colleges applied to at one single place thereby providing ease of access to information. j ° EXPERT INFORMATION w Relevant, streamlined information around multiple courses, careers and colleges around the world at one place in the online system enabled the students, counselor to get expert information to their purpose. )

More than 53% students were able to finalize the course/ country through Univariety Portal 9 97 unique knowledge mails sent to students by Univariety in around universities, admission offers, scholarships etc. . 49 knowledge events conducted for students around emerging careers, top end universities, scholarships etc. 214 senior students around colleges applied to, admission offers received, scholarships received etc. Updated information on 40+ careers, 200+ courses 8. 2000+ universities to impart guidance to students. Access to information on 1000+ scholarships, matching the student preferences. Counselors were trained by Univariety through the Counselors Training Program (CTP). presented to the school, covering progress of 214 students of class 11 and 12 by Univariety. 3 visits of Indian and abroad universities at the school for interacting with interested students. ; 485 admission offers to students of grade 118.12 from universities around the world. 1 Alumni report covering all the student placement in various universities.
