  4. 4. 4 GESSI Research Group ● The GESSI research group (http://www.essi.upc.edu/~gessi/) conducts research in many fields of software and service engineering. Related to SUPERSEDE, we mention: service monitoring, release planning and self-adaptation systems ● In addition to SUPERSEDE, GESSI has been involved and is being involved in several recent EU-funded projects ○ Coordinator of Q-Rapids: Quality-Aware Rapid Software Development. RIA project at H2020, Nov. 2016 - Oct. 2019 ○ Participant of OPENREQ: Intelligent Recommendation and Decision Technologies for Community-Driven Requirements Engineering.   5. 5. 5 DTIM Research Group ● With a strong background in database internals, the group aims at automating and democratizing the access, storage and exploitation of data by (as much as possible) automatic techniques and methods that will lower the entry barriers for non-technical players ● 6 active research projects raising more than 500.000€ per year until 2019 ● Collaboration with research institutes ○ HP Labs (Palo Alto, CA) ○ SAP (Walldorf, Germany)

  7. 7. 7 What we do in SUPERSEDE? ● In SUPERSEDE, UPC ○ Leads WP2 on methods and tools for feedback and monitoring data analysis ○ Leads WP4 on methods and tools for enacting decisions of software evolution, software adaptation and feedback and monitoring systems reconfiguration ○ Participate with substantial contribution to WP1 on methods and tools for monitoring data and WP3 on methods and tools for taking adaptation and reconfiguration decisions ○ Acts as scientific coordination
  8. 8. 8 Our goals ● Provide methods and tools for effectively and efficiently analyze feedback and monitoring use cases data ● Provide methods and tools for effectively and efficiently enacting: ○ Software evolution ○ Software adaptation at runtime ○ Feedback and monitoring systems reconfiguration at runtime ● Provide methods and tools for effectively and efficiently monitoring use cases data and take adaptation and reconfiguration decisions
