Harrah’s New Orleans
Employees Reaching Out
On November 13, 2013, volunteers from Harrah’s New
Orleans came together at Second Harvest’s warehouse
to sort cans and packages of food…
It’s a labor of love we have undertaken several times a
month since 2011. Once, we even sorted potatoes, salvaging
the good ones and tossing the smelly, bad ones!
149,895 pounds of
food or 124,912 meals, and filled 341 volunteer shifts
providing 997 hours of service.

Last summer, we got creative and held a Dunk Tank
fundraiser at a meeting for marketing colleagues from all
over the country.
The Dunk Tank raised $3,100, enabling
Second Harvest to supply 7,750 meals in our
