This report provides details of "UK South India Business Meet 2015" which was held at British Parliament, London on Thursday, 5th November so as to showcase business opportunities in UK and India, specifically South India. The highlight of the business meet was the release of the 40 page supplement "South India- A dream destination for business" report by three British MPs including Virendra Sharma MP, Ranil Jayawardena MP and Angela Rayner MP. The report was a joint publication between British South India Council of Commerce and The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diplomatist magazine. All rights reserved British South India Council of Commerce, with Sivaleen Inc as the delivery partner and supported by Telangana NRI forum, UKTNCC and Rotary club of Trivandrum royal, organised it's 13th business meet titled "UK South India Business Meet 2015" at British Parliament, London on Thursday, 5th November so as to showcase business opportunities in UK and India, specifically South India. The highlight of the business meet was the release of the 40 page supplement "South India- A dream destination for business" report by three British MPs including Virendra Sharma MP, Ranil Jayawardena MP and Angela Rayner MP. The report was a joint publication between British South India Council of Commerce and The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diplomatist magazine. The business meet was also attended by Telangana MP Mr.Boora Narsaiah Goud Garu, Mr.Venkatesham Burra IAS and Mr.Har Sahay Meena IAS THE MEET PROGRAMME SUMMARY Mr.Virendra Sharma MP, the Patron of British South India Council of Commerce welcomed the delegates attending the business meet. Sujit S Nair., FRSA. Director/ Chief Co Ordinator of British South India Council of Commerce (BSICC ) managed the running of the business meet. British MPs Virendra Sharma MP, Ranil Jayawardena MP and Angela Rayner MP interacted with the delegates on issues concerning UK and India. Following this, Mr.Philip Abraham, BSICC Vice Chair - Kerala provided a brief overview of the British South India Council of Commerce and its activities. Ms.Linda Hawke, the CEO and publisher of the The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diplomatist magazine sent across a video message which was conveyed to the delegates. Following this Mr.David Carr-Taylor, Chairman, Taylor & Shroff fine wines and spirits Pvt Ltd who has 8 years in building trading relationships pan India shared his views on building business in India. The next speaker, Dr J Dr.J.Vijay Venkatraman Managing Director & CEO, Oviya MedSafe and Chair of the Pharmacovigilance Council of the Indian Society for Clinical Research spoke about "South India - An attractive and emerging global pharmaceutical hub". The next speaker Mr.Kevin Byrne, who is one of UK's leading entrepreneur & businessman and Founder and CEO of Checkatrade.com, shared his views on running a how the "Culture" aspect played a major role in setting up a successful SME's in UK

This was followed by a talk on Business opportunities in Kerala by Alexei Levene, who is a British national and has companies in for profit and non profit sectors in Kerala. Following this, Mr.Muthupandian Ganesan, who is a UK India legal expert and has worked with number of companies between UK and India spoke about the business opportunities in Tamil Nadu. The business opportunities in Puducherry was mentioned by Mr. Ilangaivendane Pandourangane, Founder/ President of Tamil Cultural Association of Vauréal, France. The business opportunities in Karnataka was presented by Mr.Sai Prakash, Ex - Board member, Karnataka State Financial Corporation and Managing Director, Erin Consultants Pvt. The next speaker was Mr.Satish Changati, a consultant from Hathors Advisory services which is a leading advisory firm in Andhra Pradesh run by former bureaucrats, diplomats, trade officials, journalists and business people who spoke about Business opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. The business opportunities in Telangana was presented by Mr Boora Narsaiah Goud, Member of Parliament, Bhongir, Telangana; Mr.Venkatesham Burra IAS Secretary to Govt of Telangana - Tourism, culture, sports, youth welfare and Mr.Vijay Dasari, of Telangana Industrialists Welfare federation. A talk on Global technology trends, the UK, and South India: connecting the dots in the global tech ecosystem was presented by Mr.Nitin Dahad, who is a well known technology experts in US - UK - India tech Corridor. Following this talk, Punjab National Bank (International) Ltd's Mr.Sadanand Nayak spoke about financing options available for small businesses in UK. With India planning to set up 100 smart cities, Mr.Robin Daniel who works with cities globally and offers his services to transform them into smart cities, spoke about what smart cities can deliver for the people of southern India. In order to make delegates aware of the huge potential for collaborations between universities in UK and India. Mr.David Bozward, who is an serial entrepreneur and educator from Worcester university spoke about some of the collaboration opportunities between the two countries. Mr.Jacob Ravibalan, BSICC Vice Chair - Tamil Nadu delivered the vote of thanks.
