No restrictions on pages, frequency of updates

What platform do we recommend?
For community sites we recommend building the site on a wiki platform.
A wiki is a collaborative website that allows for easy editing from your computer’s browser with no complex software.
It encourages participation and doesn’t just rely on one person who has website skills.
Unlimited new pages, unlimited changes, no restrictions on frequency of changes.
Every version of a page is saved so you can always revert to any previous version.
A lot of nice features can be embedded in the site: images and photo galleries, video, calendars, discussion forums, feedback and contact forms
Secure: only authorised people can make changes to the site. Private areas for editors.
14. 14. Wikis
The platform we use is called Wikidot, one of the largest and most versatile wiki platforms. Incorporated in the USA, development in Poland, CEO in Belgium, support from USA, Australia, Europe and Strathpeffer.
As well as support we do designs for them and designed their community forum.
So we know the platform very well and use it for all community, small business and non-profit sites we develop. And we consider it’s very suitable for the Contin site.
16. 16. Editing a page
At the bottom each page is a menu that only those with the relevant permissions can see.
The options allow you to edit a page, see the history of a page (and revert to a previous version), print the page and do a range of other tasks.
Admin
Admin pages are only viewable by the site administrators.
We provide a “how-to” folder which tells you everything you need to know to manage the site, upload text and images, add to the calendar etc. This will be ready before the end of February.
We will still always be available to provide support and advice.
