1. Pre-Production – Creative Elements
• To prepare for the shooting of my documentary, I need a good idea of
what I am going to shoot and record.
• I have created a script on celtX to follow when shooting the
documentary.
• I am going to create a story board to roughly plan out the events of the
documentary. This will be effective in aiding the creation of my project
as it will give my documentary a more cemented sense of direction and
allow me to set up the shooting efficiently to prepare as I will have
prior knowledge to what I am going to shoot thanks to the storyboard.
• To create the storyboard I need to use the appropriate templates that
will most aid my project.

2. Pre-Production – Storyboard
• Choosing the appropriate storyboard template was important for
my project as it affects the direction in which my documentary is
going to go.
• I have chosen to not go with a story based template as my
documentary will not have a conflict, climax and resolution
linearly, it will contain story elements such as significant
character development however, this is a thing that occurs
throughout the entirety of the documentary and cannot be
recreated in a storyboard.

3. Pre-Production – My Script
• I have created a script on celtX, this website was very helpful in
creating my script as it allowed me to layout the script effectively
with automated assistance.
• Creating the script will help my project in every way as it will
direct what I shoot, it contains the story of the documentary and
goes over the development of the people in the documentary.

4. Pre-Production – My Script
• I had to do a lot of research in to the topics I am going over in my
documentary to write the script.
• I am writing the documentary to be accurate and to remain
somewhat neutral in all arguments when discussing controversy
about specific topics.
• It is being written this was so that it is suitable for a larger
audience of different beliefs and outlooks on the arguments being
discussed in my documentary.
