Adding Tabs in WL

  2. 2. Step 1<br />To access specific materials quickly and easily, you can add tabs to your Westlaw account.<br />Once you sign in, click “Add a Tab” in the top right corner.<br />
  3. 3. Step 2<br />Click on “Add Westlaw Tabs”<br />
  4. 4. Step 3<br />Scroll down to find which tab(s) you want to add.<br />For the New York tab, find “Jurisdictional – State” and click in the box next to New York <br />
  5. 5. Step 3 (con’t)<br />For the Federal tab, find “Jurisdictional – Federal” and click in the box next to Federal.<br />

Step 4<br />Once you check all the tabs you want to add, click “Add to My Tab Set” in the lower left corner.<br />All tabs added will appear next to the initial Westlaw tab.<br />Here is what it looks like with the New York and Federal tabs.<br />To add more tabs, follow Steps 1-4 again.<br />
  7. 7. Accessing Materials<br />Click on the tabs to access databases available.<br />You can now easily navigate through the different boxes within a tab and choose the database(s) in which you want to search.<br />
  8. 8. Quick Tips<br />You can delete entire boxes within a tab by clicking on the “x” in the top right corner of the box.<br />You can also rearrange the boxes within a tab by dragging and dropping them to the desired place.<br />
