• Venture capital funding goes mostly to Caucasian entrepreneurs
‣ 87% Caucasian founders, 12% Asian founders, 1% African American founders
• Women-led startups have received only 7% of all VC funding
• A dismal 0.2% of African American female entrepreneurs are funded
‣ Average funding $36,000 (compared with $1.3 million for Caucasian males)
• Only 7% of partners at the top 100 venture capital firms are women
‣ 78% of VC partners are Caucasian males
