Collaboration between projects that have recognised the need to strengthen European activities on the Future Internet to maintain European competitiveness in the global marketplace Structured to permit open interactions and cross-fertilization across technical domains, reaching out to whoever has talent in Europe's Future Internet research community.

Conclusions from previous WG sessions Diversity of communities, diversity of activities Need to excite individuals, create opportunities: need individual motivation of contributors IPR issues linked to organisations not projects Interoperability is the keyfocus. Keep business point of view: look, for win-win situation (beyond project interest) Standards timeframe goes beyond project one No 1:1 relation between projects and ‘ standards ’ , rather a n:m one

This infrastructure includes existing and evolving Internet and network developments. It will offer specific object-identification, sensor and connection capability as the basis for the development of independent federated services and applications.   15. 15. Mobile Internet Description MOSQUITO deals with the fragmentation of standards in the mobile Internet. It helps and supports activities related to the improvement of consistency inside standards based platforms and to the harmonization across all platforms.   16. 16. Testing Community description MyFIRE increases the efficiency in the use of Future Internet experimental facilities. It identifies best practices for standardised approaches in testing and develops roadmaps including socio-economic considerations for an increase in research exploitation. It builds privileged links with Brazil, Russia, India and China. It structures the Future Media Internet research evolution path looking especially at standardisation efforts and international activities. Mid-to-long term Draw on current alliances and specifically feedback from experts and EC to ensure timely input for the Roadmap (iterations and final).
