The History of Bacău The old borough of Bacău has a secular history with its first documentarycertification in the Middle Ages , in spite of the archeological evidence which place itsbeginnings in the Neolithic. The first documentary certification dates from 1408 , and this is the commercial privilege given by Alexander the Kind, the ruler of Moldavia , to the merchants from Kiev.
