3. 1. The Phewa(Fewa) Lake
 The Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal adds the enthralling beauty
of Pokhara. The changing light of the sun on the Phewa Lake provides
aesthetic calmness to the connoisseurs of nature. Along with these
attractions, boating, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, bird watching,
fishing and angling are some of the activities which can be done on Phewa
Lake. In the midst of the lake stands the Barahi Temple, dedicated to Baraha.
The temple represents as Shaktipith where animal and bird sacrifices are
offered to the goddess Barahi.
 Phewa lake is located at an altitude of 742 m (2,434 ft.) and covers an area of
about 4.43 km2 (1.7 sq mi). It has an average depth of about 8.6 m (28 ft.)
and a maximum depth of 24 m (79 ft.). The Annapurna range on the north is
only about 28 km (linear distance) from the lake. The lake is also famous for
the reflection of mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of
the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on its surface.

4. 2. The Annapurna Trekking Circuit
 The Annapurna Circuit is a trekking
route within Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal. The total
length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi),
depending on where motor transportation is used and where the trek
is ended. This trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles
the Annapurna range. The path reaches its highest point at Thorong
La pass (5416m/17769 ft.), touching the edge of the Tibetan Plateau.
Practically all trekkers hike the route anticlockwise, as this way the
daily altitude gain is slower, and crossing the high Thorong La pass is
easier and safer.
 Mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes the Annapurna
Massif (Annapurna I-IV), Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu and
many other. Numerous other peaks of 6000-8000m in elevation fall in
Annapurna range.

5. 3. The Davi’s Falls
 It is a waterfall located at Pokhara in where the water forms an
underground tunnel after reaching the bottom. This tunnel is
approximately 500 feet (150 m) long and runs 100 feet (30 m)
below ground level. Its Nepali name is Patale Chango, which means
"underworld waterfall". This is one of the most visited places in
Nepal.
 After exiting the tunnel, the water passes through a cave called
Gupteshwor Mahadev or "cave beneath the ground". The Phewa
Lake dam is the water source. The cave also acts as a tourism site
because it has complex designs and people even forget the way
inside the cave.

6. 4. Paragliding @ Sarangkot
 Located on the scenic Sarangkot Mountain, Sarangkot is a village
famous for its beauty and a stunning view of the Himalayas. The village
lies at an elevation of 1600 meters above sea level and is a perfect
place to capture a mesmeric view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, the
Manaslu Mountain Ranges and the valley of Pokhara. Its mountainous

10. 8. World Peace Pagoda(Shanti Stupa)
 Shanti Stupa in Pokhara is the first World Peace in Nepal and seventy-
first Pagoda built by Nipponzon-Myohoji in the world. The pagoda is 115 feet tall
and 344 feet in diameter. The Peace Pagoda has four main Buddha statues. All
these statues reflect four prominent stages of Buddha’s life presented as a
souvenirs from different countries: ‘Dharmachakra Mudra’ from Japan, ‘Bodh
Gaya’ from Sri-Lanka, ‘KushiNagar’ from Thailand and ‘Lumbini' from Nepal.
Each statue represents important events related to the Buddha and were named
according to where they took place. Dharmachakra is placed below
the gajur (Pinnacle) which signifies the Wheel of life, dharma and the teachings
of the Buddha. The top of the golden gajur holds the crystal stone from Sri-
Lanka which symbolizes intellect and grace.
 Also, you’ll get an amazing view of the Pokhara valley at one side.

11. 9. Ghorepani Poon Hill
 The Poon Hill trek is one of the more accessible treks in Pokhara for
those who don’t really have the time to take the lengthier Annapurna
Circuit trek. If you’re expecting more scenery and culture though, you
might be disappointed. Nevertheless, it’s still a worthwhile experience,
especially since you’ll still be passing a lot of natural wonders like
gorges, waterfalls, and forests.

12. 10. Bindhabasini Temple
 Standing on top of a hill, the Bindhyabasini temple is the small and
beautiful temple which is one of the popular places in Pokhara. The
temple which is above 3000 meters from the sea level is most visited
and popular among the Hindus of Pokhara. This beautiful architecture is
a little pagoda styled dome which is located at the old bazaar of
Pokhara. The temple is also known as Bindhyabasini mandir among the
locals. The history dates us back to 1845 B.S. when this temple was
founded by King Khadga Bum Malla.
 All in all, the Bindhyabasini temple also known as Bindhyabasini Mandir
is one of the religious temple situated at the hilltop away from the
sounds of the city. The environment around is peaceful and quiet from
where we get to see the majestic views of the mountain ranges, also
the Pokhara Bazar. Every year’s thousands of tourists visit the temple
not just for the religious purposes but to enjoy the beautiful and
astonishing sceneries. Going through the busy Pokhara Bazar to the hill
top on foot and when reached the top we will be surrounded with the
gorgeous views which are no less than a treat.

13. 11. Mahendra Cave
 Mahendra cave is one of the attractive cave in the city of Pokhara and
is situated close to Bat’s cave.
 This cave attracts a huge number of tourists. In the mid portion of the
cave statue of the Hindu Lord Shiva can be seen.
 The cave has been named after the Late King Mahendra Bir Bikram
Shah Dev. The natural tunnel of the cave is illuminated by artificial
lighting systems.
 This cave is rich with different types of rock, glittering stones, and big
boulders of rock. The interesting fact of this cave is the different
stones glitter when a beam of a light strike in it.

14. 12. International Mountain Museum
 The International Mountain Museum in Pokhara has a stunning
collection of artifacts, gears, stories and photographs of the
mountains, their inhabitants' and the explorers. The museum gives
you description of the people living in the Himalayas, their lifestyle
,tradition and culture and the 14 highest peaks and their most famous
expeditions. It also includes some exhibits from other mountain areas
such as Slovenia and Japan.
