  2. 2. Every year, Software Advice talks with buyers searching for the right accounting software for their business. We recently analyzed a random selection of 385 of our interactions with these buyers to learn their biggest pain points and what features and functionality they want most in new accounting software. Some of our key findings: • Among buyers using an existing accounting system, 25 percent were using QuickBooks. • The top reasons cited for replacing an existing accounting system were a need for additional features (41 percent) and greater efficiency and accuracy (32 percent). • Accounting software buyers’ preference for a cloud-based deployment model was 32 percent lower than the average.
