Methods
The SMAD (Space Mission Analysis and Design) model is applied,
which obeys a sequential linear work scheme, as the basis of the
proposal for Insertion in the use of aerospace technology as a
mediator in university research and teaching at the IUE, as
support for the development of national space policy:
• Phase 1
1) Concept exploration: needs analysis (to generate
requirements), concept development and estimation of mission
needs, requirements and limitations.
2) Detailed development: detailed definition of system
components.
• Phase 2
3) Production and deployment of the prototype: manufacturing
and construction of ground hardware and software.
• Phase 3
4) Operations and support: daily operation of the space system,
maintenance and support.
The exploration of the concept and some human design factors in the
development of a Rover adaptable to lunar and Martian terrain or its
terrestrial analogues is presented here, based on the construction made
available by the European Space Agency with its ExoMy didactic model.

Introduction
Objective
To develop a space exploration robot (ROVER) for use on terrestrial
surfaces that are difficult or dangerous to access on Earth, the Moon or
Mars or surfaces similar to those on the moon or Mars.
Partial results
Future of the project
The concept for the redesign has been explored, the Rover has been
manufactured and assembled; Its functionality is illustrated using virtual
reality technologies that also allow the creation of pedagogical
environments, which introduce those who navigate them to topics
related to the aerospace environment, the use of equipment like this for
work in high-risk environments and illustrate in a didactic way the related
processes.
• Operation simulation, focused on human factors.
• Digital twin for testing.
• Pattern recognition in assisted routes.

Methods The SMAD (Space Mission Analysis and Design) model is applied, which obeys a sequential linear work scheme, as the basis of the proposal for Insertion in the use of aerospace technology as a mediator in university research and teaching at the IUE, as support for the development of national space policy: • Phase 1 1) Concept exploration: needs analysis (to generate requirements), concept development and estimation of mission needs, requirements and limitations. 2) Detailed development: detailed definition of system components. • Phase 2 3) Production and deployment of the prototype: manufacturing and construction of ground hardware and software. • Phase 3 4) Operations and support: daily operation of the space system, maintenance and support.
