I leap back one space on John's Isle of Patmos game board! We've stepped back out of eternity and into the more-ore-less familiar realm of time and space. Revelation Chapters 19-21 stands us on the boundary twixt these two states. They offer us a chance to explore two separate states, the so-called Millennium and the Eternal State. I see reasons for making a distinction between the two and explore my thinking in this presentation.

ISRAEL: In the Millennium, the world’s worship leaders
(Zechariah 12-14). Folded into the Eternal City’s structure
and architecture in Eternity (Rev 21:12).
THE NATIONS: Ruled with rod of iron in Millennium,
resurrected for the Great White Throne Judgment which
separates them into those with names in the Book of Life
and those with names not written there. Heaven for the
former, Hell for the latter!

The Lamb and God: Rev 22:3– Their thrones are

On New Earth: Individuals in the ‘Nations’ whose

Rev 21:23–Nations walk by the light of the Eternal

Suspended above New Earth, the City easily
functions distinctly and apart.
Rev 21:24–The Kings of the Nations bring their
glory INTO the Eternal City, implying movement
from a position OUTSIDE that city. New Earth the
most obvious source location.

ETERNAL STATE’S NEW EARTH
Sheep– Granted Eternal Life but not a part of the
Body and Bride of Christ. They populate the New
Earth in resurrection bodies (See I Corinthians 15:50)
Faithful– (???) Any who kept (???) to the Camp of
the Saints at the Last Temptation of Mankind (Rev
20: 8+9) Given resurrection bodies???
Great White Throne Judgment: Rev 20:12–
Those whose names were in the Book of Life (Romans
2:6-16). Enter New Earth in resurrection bodies.

THE ETERNAL STATE: NONE
There is no sin here! Rev 21:27 states– “. . . and
nothing unclean and no one who practices
abomination and lying shall ever come into it (The
Eternal City), but only those whose names are

There is no death here! Rev 21:4– “ . . . and He shall
wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall
no longer be any death . . .”

Isaiah 65:17 muddies the waters a bit here the
way it’s worded and I want to take a shot at
clearing things up a bit.

Isaiah 65:17 has God announcing that “I create new
heavens and a new earth” and THEN goes on to
