New Management Options for Power Compute Nodes
HMC and IVM may now be used as consoles for Power nodes in Build to
Order (BTO) and Configure to Order (CTO) Flex System configurations
Neither the HMC nor IVM provide chassis management capabilities
Native application interfaces (GUI or CLI) are required to manage other
elements of the Flex System, including the CMM, storage, networking
and energy management
7.7.0 Firmware is required
IMPORTANT: An FSM may not manage any chassis, local or remote,
that has a Power compute node being managed by an HMC or IVM
