What differentiates one type of story from another?
STORY
CHARACTERISTICS

                                        Short Because they are concise,
         Concise writers depend on the
                                                reader bringing personal
                                                experiences and prior
                                                knowledge to the story.
Hook. The beginning of the story grabs
the reader’s attention and inspires
him/her to read on. How do
                                                                                 you write
                                                                                  a good
       Keep
                                          Desire. The author creates a
                                                                                   story?
     reading!
protagonist to be to achieve a goal.
                                            Challenge and Obstacles.

Conflict. The author creates need
conflict that the protagonist must deal
with before he/she can achieve his/her Climax. The story must
goal. include a turning point.

Resolution. In the ending, the author must tie up loose ends and answer any
unresolved questions.
Personal story Humor

                 Satire
What is the purpose of writing stories?
To express their
feelings

Because its a way to let out their
                             feelings, or just to express

                                               To share their
           To share their opinions experiences
What differentiates one type of story from another?
The content of the story is completely different, for example the conflict of a horror
story will be different from the conflict of a fable.
"The girl entered the haunted house and found no one, but she heard the voice of
his missing brother shouting in the basement"
"The cat , lulu, didn’t want to share her cotton ball with the dog just because he
was black”
and so it is with all other parts and characteristics of a
story (characters, conflict, obstacle, resolution, etc)
And that is why they classified the stories by different types. Also to be more
organized and to find a specific book in a second.
