#SEU12 - 506 creating nailboard drawings for wire harnesses - ronnie conerly

Published on

This session will present Solid Edge’s 3D Electrical Wiring harness functionality in assembly and new ST5 functionality which allows for documenting the manufacturing process of the harness with nailboards. Key functionality in creating nailboard drawing views along with connector drawing views and tables and conductor tables will be presented. In addition, the ability to edit the 2D flattened representation of the harness so that it will fit on the nailboard will be presented. This session is geared towards users with wiring harnesses in their designs and need an understanding of how to create a wire harness and then document the manufacturing process in Draft.

  5. 5. Assembly 3D Wire Harness• Harness environment in Assembly used to design a 3d wire harness• A wire harness consists of conductors: • Wires • Cables • Bundles• All conductors are driven by 3d Paths• Cables contain 1 or more wires• Bundles can contain wires, cables, or “sub-bundles” © Siemens AG 2012.
