  2. 2. Introduction  Ayurveda is a science of art of living. It deals with preventive and curative principles for the better health.  Ayurveda explains Dincharya ,Ratricharya, Ritucharya, Dietary guidelines and Sadvritta for maintenance, promotion of health and prevention of ailments. ailments.  Panchkarma present a unique approach of ayurveda with specially designed five procedures of internal purification of body through the nearest route.  It is not only for detoxifying the body, but also for rejuvenation strengthening the immune system and restoring balance and well being. Panchakarma has a full therapy role as promotive, preventive and curative procedure.

Ritucharya (Seasonal Regimen) Shishir Ritu Vasant Ritu Grishma Ritu Varsha ritu Sharad ritu Hemant Ritu Ritucharya by following this regimens, individual can stay healthy and disease free life. Aahar & vihar in accordance with season to balance the doshas. Panchkarma should be practiced in ritu like vaman in vasant ritu, virechana in sharad ritu and basti in pravrut ritu for promotion and maintenance of health and prevention of diseases.

Social conduct Speak A few words, Listen carefully, Talk in soft pleasing tone, Respect parents, elders, teachers and Other learned Social conduct Mental conduct Physical conduct Moral conduct tone, Respect parents, elders, teachers and Other learned intelligent people, and learn to be tolerant. What is the purpose of your existence, Being self-aware, Learning the art of detached attachment, and Attaining inner peace. Good social deeds, Helping the poor and needy, Being with a friend or relative in their difficult times Personal hygiene and cleanliness, Eating on time and in right quantity and Avoiding sleeping during the day, etc.
  9. 9. Detoxification & Purification In Healthy Volunteers Vasantik Vaman Virechan karma Vaman is one of the therapy in Panchkarma used for detoxification of body. In Vaman therapy vomiting is induced in a  Clarity of channels  Clarity of sense organs  Lightness  Kindling of agni therapy vomiting is induced in a person to remove the toxins out of the body. It is highly beneficial for volnteers of Kapha and Kapha- Pitta constitution and patients suffering with Kapha disorders and associated Pitta disorders or diseases originating or settled in the place of Kapha.  Kindling of agni  Free from diseases  Downward movement of vata  In india every person knows the virechana and uses it regularly for getting rid of the Paittik & Raktaj ailments.  It is a well known fact that in rural area the castor oil is licked to the new born baby to prevent the occurrence of physiological jaundice, meconium ileus etc.

Basti As Health Pramotive Basti As Disease Preventive  Brimhana Basti (su.chi 38/83)  Chakshushya (A.H.K. 4/29)  Varnya (ch.si. 8/4)  Vrishya (ch.si-12/18)  One of the benefits of shodhana (basti) is malapaham.  As per charaka any Substance present in the shareera, which is not conducive to the health is considered as mala.  Rasayana  Yapana (ch.si 12/ 16)  Most of the dravyas used in these Types of basti like mamsa rasa, ksheera, sarpi, madhu, Saindhava and amalaki etc are significant source of Protein, vitamins and minerals. considered as mala.  Proper periodical evacuation of mala is very much Essential for prevention of ailments, which is achieved by shodhana roopi basti.  In Contemporary science mala can be under stood as Alimentary toxins, metabolic waste products or auto Immune complexes, allergens etc.
  11. 11. Utilization Of Nasya In Health  Pratimarsha nasya is A type of nasya karma which is indicated for daily practice .  Prevents Urdhvjatrugat vikara (head & neck). (head & neck).  No white or grey hair, no hair fall, instead they grow well.  Face becomes pleasant and nourished  Voice becomes sweet, deep & loud  Clearness in sense organs & strength get enhanced.

Conclusion  Ayurveda provides better solution in the form of adopting proper dinacharya and ritucharya which promotes positive health of the individuals by maintaining normal physiological functions of the body and keeps the person healthy forever  Panchakarma treatment is among the most popular of Ayurveda therapies and it is a rigorous process of detoxification and purification.  It also brings about visible psychological and spiritual changes in the subject,thus securing an all round development in one’s lifestyle.
