Use contrast to help your designs stand out

DO take time to choose your color scheme

Choose your font palette

DON’T use too many different fonts on one page

DON'T use comic sans or crazy fonts that end up being
hard to read

DO look around and see what’s out there in the design
world

Never Use Black

Always start your design project with a layout grid.
No exceptions.

DO make sure there is enough contrast between your
text and the background

DO establish a typographic hierarchy

DON’T make the text too small

Use a grid or frame where possible with images

The Rule of Thirds
Simply place your main subject where the lines intersect.
