  3. 3.  Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement.  Animation makes static presentations come alive.  It is visual change over time and can add great power to our multimedia projects. Cel Animation  A traditional form of animation used in the production of cartoons or animated movies where each frame of the scene is drawn by hand.  A full-length feature film produced using cel animation would often require a million or more drawings to complete.   12. 12.  Analog video is a video signal transferred by an analog signal.  An analog color video signal contains luminance, brightness (Y) and chrominance (C) of an analog television image.  When combined into one channel, it is called composite video as is the case, among others with NTSC, PAL and SECAM.   13. 13.  Digital video is a representation of moving visual images in the form of encoded digital data.  This is in contrast to analog video, which represents moving visual images with analog signals.  Including serial digital interface (SDI), Digital Visual Interface (DVI), High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and DisplayPort Interface.   15. 15.  MPEG-2 Combination of audio and video compression.  Mov QuickTime Movie Format  MP4 MPEG-4 is a versatile file format that can include audio, video, images and animations.  DAT Digital Data Storage. Data file format that can be used for text, graphics or binary data.  VOB Video Object is a MPEG-2 DVD video movie file.  AVI Audio Video Interleaved , High video quality, but a large file size.
