She defined the theory of ‘collaborative consumption’ and was one of the first thinkers to define the effects of the ‘sharing economy’. In 2010, she published the critically acclaimed book What’s Mine is Yours: How Collaborative Consumption Is Changing The Way We Live. Her breakthrough TED talks on the subject have been viewed over two million times and TIME magazine subsequently named Collaborative Consumption one of the 10 Ideas That Will Change The World.She is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, was named by Fast Company as one of the ‘Most Creative People in Business’ and featured by Monocle as one of the top 20 speakers in the world to have at your conference.
