It is not only about winning, but also about participating, making a commitment to progress against personal goals, striving to be and to do our best in our daily lives. ~ </li></ul><ul><li>The Olympic Value: </li></ul><ul><li>Excellence , is highlighted in this book. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Why I chose this book ? <ul><li>~This book highlights one of the values for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, that is, Excellence. It is also a book that tells about a sport. </li></ul><ul><li>~Other than that, the summary at the back of the book made me want to read on. </li></ul>EXTREME EDGE

  6. 6. What the story is about ? <ul><li>Jay is determined to make his name by climbing a tough rock face known as “The Wall”. No partner, no ropes, no fancy equipment. His friend, Brad, has equally ambitious plans - to do crazy ski jump. Trouble is, unlike Jay, Brad doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.
