What is Snapchat? ▪ Snapchat is a photo and video sharing application, which is popular with young people. ▪ Snapchat is a free application that is available on the App Store for Apple and on the Play Store for Android. ▪ Photos are sent to people that are on your Snapchat friends list or your Stories.

What makes Snapchat so different? ▪ All snaps sent to other people will be deleted as soon as the timer runs out. ▪ For privacy reasons, you will be notified with someone screenshots your snaps or messages. ▪ You get to choose who you share it with. ▪ You are able to send money through Snapchat using Snapcash. ▪ It is not a popularity contest. ▪ You can control who and how many people viewed your snaps in your Story. ▪ Everything is in real time. ▪ It is the ultimate tool for product endorsement.

Snapchat languages ▪ Snapchatters: Snapchat users ▪ Snaps: Photos or videos taken via Snapchat (you can send a snap to a snapchatter, but it can only be viewed by the recipient for one to 10 seconds) ▪ Snapback: A reply to a snap ▪ Story: A snap you can broadcast to followers (recipients can view it an unlimited amount of times in 24 hours, and you can also post multiple snaps to your story in one day to create a narrative of sorts) ▪ Scores: The total number of snaps you have sent and received (appears next to your name in friends' contact lists and vice versa) ▪ Chat: A feature that lets you privately/directly message friends ▪ Here: A feature that lets you start a live video chat within a direct message

  15. 15. Snapchat’s filters • Snapchat has 6 default filters.
  16. 16. Snapchat’s newest update are face-filters and video filters that caused a boom in the application users. Mainly, younger people. Face-filters update weekly so there will be endless of exciting things every time Snapchat updates.
  17. 17. However, Face-filters are not permanent and the old filters gets deleted after every update. To be able to use out-dated filters, you’ll need to purchase them in the App Store. Each filter is for $0.99.
  18. 18. Snapchat Emojis Constantly snapping your friends will earn you streaks and emojis will be visible beside each name. Each emoji has its own meaning and shows you how close you are with them or how frequent you snap them!
