  15. 15. Patwon Ki Haveli ( “ Patwon = “Hava +Li “ ) . 800 years old. One of the best Haveli with seven storied high. (Two basement + five storied)
  16. 16. The Haveli is located on higher plinth to accommodate two basements ,which were utilised for storage purposes.
  17. 17. Patwon ki Haveli is most beautiful among all. Made out of yellow sand stone and “Ker” wood (salty in taste) which is naturally termite proof. The stone work is done with interlocking system. The wooden flooring with cow dung plaster.
  18. 18. Narrow street pattern protects the hard sunlight during the day
  19. 19. The transaction spaces between house and street is provided with well designed sitting places.
  20. 20. “Otas” are very popular as transitional elements in the street.

  24. 24. Bathrooms and wash areas are located in front of house, so as to dispose waste water directly in street drainage.

  27. 27. The crude way of doing electrification do not bother about beautiful streetscape of world heritage city.
  28. 28. The doors are locked but the beauty of carving reveals the inner sense of aesthetics of the inhabitants.

  32. 32. Kuldhara Dead Villge The inhabitants of the village were Palival Brahmins (Pandit) They overnight shifted to village pali near Jodhpur due to dispute with king. The king wanted to merry with the girl of Palivals, which was not accepted by the community.
