Windows Server 2016 Datacenter の新機能
複数ホストからホストに内蔵されたディスクを使って、
共有ディスクを作ることができる

4. なぜ Azure on Storage Space Direct (S2D) なのか

Azure (クラウド環境) に高可用性 VM を組みたい！
Windows Server なので WSFC かな。
共有ディスクがないので、クラスタ構成が組めない！
そこで Storage Space Direct ですよ！！

5. 必要なもの
AD DC
WSFC には基本必要
S2D 用ホスト
ディスクを 2 本以上搭載したホストを 2 台以上
Azure 上で可用性セットを構成しておく
ホスト用 OS
Windows Server 2016 Datacenter

6. 構築の流れ
AD DC を構築して、ホストをメンバに追加。
ホストに以下の機能を追加する。
 フェールオーバー クラスタリング
 ファイルサーバー
PowerShell で以下の機能の構成を行う
 WSFC の構成
 S2D の有効化と記憶域の構成
 スケールアウトファイルサーバーの有効化 6

8. Azure on S2D 構築時に気を付けること
WSFC と S2D の構築は、PowerShell が確実。
 なぜか GUI だとうまくいかないことがある。
WS2016 は、デフォルトだとファイル共有が使えない。
 Azure のイメージでは少なくとも OFF になっている。
クォーラムを Cloud にする場合 Storage Account は、
汎用アカウント を使う (blob アカウントは NG)

9. Azure on S2D の使用用途
SQL Server の WSFC 構築時の共有ディスク
 公式ドキュメントがあるぐらい鉄板ネタ。
RDS・VDI 等のプロファイル用ファイルサーバー
 ファイルサーバーが SPOF になることを防ぐ。
Nested Hyper-V 用の共有ストレージ
 2017/7 リリースの v3 VM から、Nested Hyper-V が可能に！
