No other food products focus more consumer attention than those prepared for consumption by children. Identification and quantification of natural sugars were investigated in baby food products by mid-IR Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Using Horizontal Attenuated Total Reflectance (HATR), neat baby food samples were analyzed without need for extensive sample preparation.
