  2. 2. Producerline Page 2 of 5 ACES Transition Update We are pleased to inform you that the ACES regional business system transition is moving ahead as planned. As part of this transition process and to help ensure accurate claims adjudication, we have identified the need to assign temporary identification numbers to some of our members (primarily those in our regional plans, HMO BlueÒ New England† and BlueChoiceÒ New England†) for health care services received between August 1, 2003 and October 31, 2003. Temporary identification cards (IDs), for use during this period, will be issued to these members prior to August 1st. Permanent replacement IDs will be issued in late October for members’ use on and after November 1, 2003. Affected groups and members will be notified soon of these actions. Please contact your account manager with any questions or concerns you may have regarding this. Anthem to Conduct Telemarketing Research In mid-July, the Anthem East Marketing area will be conducting a research campaign of current customer groups to increase understanding of customer needs, values and preferences and identify opportunities for enhancing product offerings and service. The campaign will include groups greater than 10 and less than 499, excluding public and government accounts. Question themes include: demographic changes/updates, email address, specialty coverages, and company culture/values. We anticipate the initiative will take approximately two to three weeks to complete and will be conducted by an outside entity on Anthem's behalf.
