Legal Code: the legally enforceable layer of the license that is formal and “lawyer- readable.” Human Readable: the layer of the license that is written more generally for the average license user to understand.   3. 3. Attribution (BY): users must attribute the content creator when using work licensed under this. All CC licensed work uses this element. NonCommercial (NC): users may not use the work for monetary gain or commercial advantage. ShareAlike (SA): users must share the derivative work in the same way that it was originally licensed. Considered a “fall back” license, this “no rights reserved” license allows for international use of public domain works should the surrender of rights fail.
