This is the review question number 2 that talks about the audience.

2. Photos (Fashion and Poses)
The fashion that is used in the magazine
can be a good indicator of the type of genre
and who it is designed for. In this magazine
the style follows a ‘Mod’ theme which would
make it a young adult target audience and
this is because of what type of clothes are
in fashion at this time.
In the photos the poses that are used show things about the magazine.
They look directly at the camera in a staring manor and this gives the
impression that they are ‘tough’ and they also stand with their hands in the
pockets.

3. Age Group
 My Music magazine is designed for an older teenage/young
adult audience (17-25)
 This is due to the fact that the artists on the front cover are a
in their late teens.
 The music genre is also associated with younger people as it
is alternative/post-punk.
 Also there is bad language included in some of the answers
which would be unsuitable for a younger audience.

4. Gender
 My music magazine is designed mainly for a male audience
 Also most of the artists that have been included are male
artists and some of the topics talked about inside are male
kind of topics such as the fighting
 All of the photos on the front, contents and article page are
all of male artists.

5. Race + Genre
 For my music magazine I think that the typical audience
would be white people.
 On the front cover and contents page they photos are of
white males and this generally means that they will be the
biggest audience of the magazine.
 The genre of the magazine is a ‘mod’ theme.
 The genre of music is also associated with a white audience.

6. Article Page
 From the article page I think that it will appeal most to people
who can relate to it.
 This would be people who have a passion for music but are
living in an area where there are things that make it difficult to
do so.
 This could be things such as crime, lack of money ect
 It could also relate to upcoming young artist who are still at
school as it will be especially useful for them as ‘The Goons’
have recently gone through the experience.
