1. Sean F. Leonard, RHU, REBCSean F. Leonard, RHU, REBC
Sean F. Leonard has over 20-years of managerial experience within the
Human Resource and benefits arena. In a leadership capacity Sean
opened Kohl’s and Nordstrom, hiring, training and implementing the
initial policies and procedures. In 2002, Sean transitioned to the benefits
arena as a Consultant, creating his own position, HR & Communication
Consultant. In this capacity, Sean created and implemented employee
engagement programs around the benefits package, including surveys, Focus Groups, benefit
committees and comprehensive year round benefit engagement and cost saving strategies.
In 2006 Sean brought his creative, strategic approach to Northwestern Benefit Corporation of
Georgia as a Large Group Benefit Consultant. This approach helped Sean maintain nearly a
100% client retention rate in his first 6+ years with Northwestern Benefit Corp. In 2008, Sean
earned his Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation and in 2010 his, Registered
Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC) designation signifying a knowledge and focus in the field of
insurance, health plans and group benefits.
In February 2012, Sean was promoted to the role of Senior Benefits Consultant. In this role,
Sean supported leadership and provided support to the consulting team in many areas
including communication, customer service and training.
In February of 2014, Sean joined EPIC as their initial Director of Consulting & Account
Management. Sean's main focus in this capacity was to create, implement and optimize
processes, services and deliverables for an exceptional client experience while enhancing the
consultative practice of the Consulting Team. Additionally, Sean coordinated with the client
team to create increased efficiencies and consistency in service offerings to clients. Sean also
provided service leadership, including overall strategy, support and management of the client
team.
In 2013, Sean created the, “Reason to Run” campaign to raise money for The Testicular Cancer
Society. Sean’s half-marathon run is dedicated to and raises donations for this highly impactful,
non-profit organization. In 2013 and 2014, Sean’s, “Reason to Run” campaign was the #1
singular fundraiser for The Testicular Cancer Society.
