1. Assistant Project Manager – John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project ($1.1 billion)
Campbell River, BC Canada (July 2015 – Present)
$381 million P3 Design-Build Contract (Civil Works) – Aecon/SNC Lavalin Joint Venture
 Manage and collaborate with Construction Manager, General Superintendent, Project
Superintendents, Project Engineer, Field Engineers and subcontractors in construction of new
intake (under existing dam), underground powerhouse (3 units/132 MW), power tunnel and
tailrace tunnel (1 mile x 30 ft diameter); develop team environment with dynamic
communication where work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable and safe manner
 Establish and maintain strong relationships with Aecon Executives, Joint Venture partners,
client, owner groups, agencies, subcontractors, unions (project labour agreements), First
Nations, other shareholders, etc. and develop long-term partnerships with client base
 Supervise up to 250+ fulltime staff/craft union employees including hiring,
promotion/development and dismissal including semi-annual performance reviews
 Demonstrate sound judgement in escalating issues up chain of command
 Collaborate with off-site (Vancouver) design group to ensure design deliverables meet
budget/schedule and opportunities for value engineering are capitalized on
 Manage civil works schedule to comply with overall project schedule
 Strong command of contract/subcontract administration including high level change
management and risk management
 Forecast project revenue/costs to ensure project and corporate profitability goals are met;
present details of to-date and forecasted revenue/costs to Joint Venture board members
 Ensure accurate project tracking for continuous and measurable improvement
 Manage quarterly review of Risk and Contingency Registers
 Foster a site safety culture that supports corporate safety initiatives/goals and keeps those
working for and around the project safe
 Co-chair of Joint Health and Safety Committee
 Attend client/owner coordination meetings both at project site and in Vancouver

3. Senior Field Engineer – Waneta Expansion Project – Trail, BC (Dec. 2011 – June 2014)
$356 million Design-Build Contract (Civil Works) – Aecon/SNC Lavalin Joint Venture
 Managed up to 50 fulltime staff/craft employees on various project components
 Managed complex construction of powerhouse north wall
 Managed all shoring/falsework materials and erection on site including certification of all site-
wide falsework prior to concrete placement
 Managed tunnel transition and steel liner construction including formwork installation and
management of concrete placement
 Managed subcontractor for mechanical gates and guides installation
 Prepared job hazard analyses (JHAs) for all work areas under my supervision
 Prepared project schedules for Construction Manager approval
 Procured materials for areas under my supervision including rebar and miscellaneous metals
 Tracked costs and quantities for work areas under my supervision
 Accountable at monthly cost report meetings for work areas under my supervision

1. Staff Engineer/Site Manager – Geotechnical Site Investigations – $250,000 to $4 million

 Managed drilling and geology crews (up to 12 staff/craft workers) for geotechnical and
geomechanical site investigations of various mining and hydroelectric projects
 Managed from design basis through progress meetings and final deliverables to client
 Data collection including logging of geotechnical drill core, hydraulic Lugeon testing as well as
installation of inclinometers and vibrating wire/standpipe piezometers
 Coordinated daily helicopter travel to/from remote drill sites
2. Staff Engineer/On-Site Design Representative – East Toba & Montrose Hydro Projects
$12 million, Toba Inlet, BC Canada (February 2009 – October 2010)
 Lead on-site design representative and liaison between senior design engineers (Vancouver)
and site construction managers
 QA for all civil components for construction of powerhouses, intakes and penstocks for both
projects including commissioning
 Prepared daily and monthly client QA reports
