This document discusses how to terminate a hosting account using WHM and free up disk space. It notes that terminating an account will delete extra files and software installed for that account. It recommends selecting the option to "Keep DNS Zone" if the domain has been moved to a different server. The document also covers adding the domain as an add-on domain to avoid extra overhead while maintaining DNS resolution. It aims to terminate an account called "classicalarticles.com" to free up disk space on the server.

How to Terminate a Hosting Account Using WHM
1. Terminate a Hosting Account
using WHM

2. Forget about the other slides
I will just terminate a hosting account as
hosted under my parent hosting
◦ Why?
◦ Creating separate hosting account for all
domains has the advantage of easy and
separate management..probably not easy but
separate
Keeping together might be more easy...
But we do not need that separation right now..
Now having more disk space has become more
important and the accounts are not that important...
3. Anyway..
Under WHM you will see a Terminate Account
option
WHM is parent package of Cpanel
◦ Cpanel is pretty common in PHP based
hosting...anyway...
◦ For each hosting account...many stuff are
installed separately and hence lots of space
--new cpanel soft
Comon folders such as...
The file list as I show are extra for each account...
Mysql php ruby on rails other packages as come with
hosting account are separate from other accounts..
Hence takes some space..
4. So if you delete...
◦ All these extra stuff will get deleted...
◦ Kept this option selected
Keep DNS Zone (necessary if removing an
account because you have already moved it to
a different server in the same DNS cluster)
◦ The terminated account-now will be
mapped as add on domains ... Domain
under another domain..hence will not
require the extra overhead...though you
lose the separate control panel...
5. I already moved the content to
◦ http://onlineservicescloud.com/classicalart
icles
The database already was part of the
parent package..hence, we do not
need to create or move...
Now just add on domain will work..
A DNS entry for “classicalarticles.com”
already exists. You must remove this
DNS entry from all servers in the DNS
cluster to proceed.
6. Keeping the
Keep DNS Zone (necessary if removing an account
because you have already moved it to a different server
in the same DNS cluster)
was not great looks like
◦ It might get resolved over time – need to
check the DNS record though
Seems better – no error
Empty page might mean permission or
syntax error
With little time it got better
8. As I told
The video is about
◦ Creating a Multi-Language Wordpress Blog
Was trying to create a community blog –
buetians.org
◦ The content can be both in Bengali and in
English
◦ So used Polylang plugins for Wordpress – w
should be capital
◦ WPML probably another popular one...
◦ Let’s see
◦ I actually recorded one another time though
stuff happened..so
9. You will see an install button to install
◦ Using install button, you can install
◦ I did not use WPML, used Polylang
◦ So install and activate
Installed another package just to show
how to install
Then you can activate...
Now for multiple language support,
you will need to configure all the
language using settings for Polylang
10. Bengali was not on the list
So I had to add manually..
Information from this page will help
◦ http://wpcentral.io/internationalization/
You will need a locale – the standard one
like bn
Also Wordpress locale bn_BD
For Bengali in Bangladesh, you need
Bn_BD wordpress locale
Bn as the locale
Then click add new language
11. Added both Bengali and English
For English, selected from drop
down-- The bloggers will be mostly from Bangladesh
and FROM BUET – an Eng. University in
Bangladesh
Most BUETians come outside of the country
i.e. Bangladesh – probably 70 or 80% BUET
engineers go outside of the country
◦ USA : where the most GO
◦ My class mates probably 90% are outside
Bangladesh
So selected USA-English – not Canada
English
Order kept, Bengali to be 1
◦ Assumption: most blog post will be in Bengali
12. How to post?
◦ You can create posts in both language i.e.
For a post you can create versions for both
languages – manual translation
◦ Some times, you might want to use
Automatic Google Translation – that can be
crappy sometimes
◦ Key Value pair based Translation is an option
I am not going to show anything like that – might a
bit
This is more suitable for the language of the
website itself
For blog posts manual translation should be better..
Anyway..
13. Let’s add content...in both languages
Corresponding English and Bengali Post
Contents i.e. Of the posts .. change
based on the URL...
You actually can configure different urls
From my side, I have it in mind to merge
Sitestree.com and
bangla.salearningschool.com into one
multilanguage site – one day—
Anyway...
14. If you want the terms/Words used for
the site itself in the language of the
content– auto translate as well as
key/value pair option is also available
Some settings are on settings tab as
well
Anyway, now you need to allow users
to switch to a different language using
a drop down or anchor links
As you just saw
16. You have to Language Switcher
widget to achieve this
Remember the switcher will show the
language name if the content in that
language exist – depends on config as
well anyway
Previously I added on the side bar
Let me add in the footer
