Board positions are filled voluntarily. No remuneration will be provided.President The President is responsible to the Board. The President shall keep the Board informed of all aspects of the Chapter’s affairs andshall consult with it on major activities. The President shall make reports to the general membership on behalf of the Board ateach annual meeting and as directed by the Board. The President shall also serve as ex-officio with the right to vote on all committees. The President shall act as the executive head of the Chapter, and when present, shallpreside as Chair over the Board meetings. The President shall exercise supervision over the affairs of the Chapter. The President shall be responsible for enforcement of these Bylaws and carrying out allorders and resolutions of the Board. The President shall exercise such authority within limits as shall be set by the Boardfrom time to time. The President shall also have such additional responsibility as may be delegated by theBoard.Vice President The Vice President is responsible to the President and the Board, and shall assume theduties of the President in the absence or disability of the President. The Vice President shall assist the President in the execution of his or her duties andresponsibilities to the Board. The Vice President shall also have such additional responsibilities as may be delegatedby the Board or the President.
Call for Nominations and Election Process Notification2013Page 2 of 5Treasurer The Treasurer is responsible to the President and the Board and shall be responsible forthe financial affairs of the Chapter; this includes processing of accounts payable,accounts receivable, banking, etc. The Treasurer shall maintain the financial records of the Chapter and shall submitfinancial statements to the Board or any relevant Governmental agency as directed bythe Board or required by law. The Treasurer shall prepare, for submission to the Annual Meeting, a set of financialstatements as provided for in these Bylaws. The Treasurer shall provide current financial reports as requested by the President orBoard. The Treasurer shall be responsible for managing incoming mail (PO Box and generalemail requests). Upon election of a new Treasurer, the outgoing Treasurer shall be responsible toconduct a complete financial review with the incoming Treasurer.Director, Membership ServicesThe Director of Membership Services: is responsible for maintaining the Chapter member list is responsible for maintaining the Chapter email list is responsible for providing metrics to the Board, as requested, regarding membership numbers,membership demographics, etc is responsible for activities to attract and engage members of the ChapterDirector, EventsThe Director of Events: is responsible for soliciting speakers for events and ensuring event content supports the skillsdevelopment of participants is responsible for the scheduling and logistics of Chapter events is responsible for event invitations and managing attendance responses is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are present at Chapter eventsFor additional information on these positions, please contact the appointed Chair of the IIBA SouthSaskatchewan Chapter Board Nominations Committee (Laurentia Akoto) at firstname.lastname@example.org

Board Nomination ProcessNominations and Elections CommitteeThe Nomination and Election Committee manages the nomination process. The committee: Distributes the call for elections Gathers nominations Verifies that nominees are eligible and willing to stand Manages the election process Reports and records the election resultsNomination EligibilityAny current IIBA member may nominate, vote, and stand for a board position. Those eligiblepeople interested in a Board position may be nominated in two ways:1. Be nominated by a current IIBA member2. Self nominate and submit nomination with an eligible seconderNominationIf you are interested in serving as a board member or you wish to nominate a fellow SouthSaskatchewan IIBA chapter member, please complete the following steps:1. Members will be sent a list of candidates for eachposition, and will be asked to reply with their vote for board position(s) when there is morethan one eligible nominee. The South Saskatchewan IIBA is not responsible for inaccurate orout-of-date member email addresses. Voting confidentiality is guaranteed.Voting ResultsThe Nominations Committee (or tellers designated by the committee) will tally all ballots. Thenominee with the highest number of votes will be declared the successful candidate. Thechapter members will decide what to do in the case of a tie.Results will be declared once successful candidates have been determined for positions withone or more nominees. Successful candidates will be notified first. Results will then be emailedto chapter members.
