It is a well established fact that school children and disadvantaged children are most vulnerable in disasters. Giving the due importance to safety of the children, Saritsa Foundation has identified “Safety of Children” as one of the priority dimension to reduce risk from disaster and impacts of climate change since 2000.

Saritsa Foundation has evolved ways and means with focused realities of strengths and challenges, which provide simple and analytical guidance to school and disadvantaged children in rural and urban India.
Saritsa Foundation has built capacity amongst school teachers, students by shaping up skills and confidence to minimize losses of lives. Saritsa Foundation reaches to the “Door Steps” of children with the team of experts, trainers and motivators to towns, mega cities including the remotest villages and snow covered areas in 18 states of India.

The aim of these on going campaigns has been to build survival capacity amongst school children, disadvantaged children, teachers and parents to develop a mind-set of safety culture.
Saritsa Foundation conducted a workshop for girls and teachers of Sharda Sadan Girls High School, Mumbai on 26th November, 2013.
