  16. 16. *When a rope is not beingused, what is it doing? The rope is “waiting.”*It “waits” for its Owner toput it to use.
  17. 17. When a rope lifts or pulls aload, it stretches a littlewhile it is working.As it stretches, theindividual strands are pulledcloser together.
  18. 18. While this “stress” is on therope, the individual strandsare pulled closer together,closer to the UnbreakableOne - to lift or to pull theload.
  19. 19. The figurative definition ofthe word “qavah” is:“to hope, to expect.”The figurative meaning of“qavah” conveysanticipation.
  20. 20. It is the same type ofwaiting that a little girl doeswhen told that herGranddaddy built her aplayhouse and is coming topick her up and take her to
  21. 21. play in it for the first time!So she stares out of thewindow expectantlyanticipating the arrival ofthe One who loves her.

  26. 26. So while we are waiting, we are to entwine our lives around His life!

  51. 51. The "judgment seat" beforewhich all believers will oneday stand is the Greekbema, a tribunal.Romans 14:102 Corinthians 5:10
  52. 52. Bema is a Greek termmeaning "judgment seat." Inthe city of Corinth, a stoneplatform was constructed tosupport the bema seat(judgment seat)
  53. 53. of the local officials.The seat was used to giveout awards to athletes fortheir competitiveperformances (usually acrown wreath of leaves), but
  54. 54. also to address legal chargesbrought against individuals.
  55. 55. 12 “But while Gallio wasproconsul of Achaia, theJews with one accord roseup against Paul and broughthim before the judgmentseat (bema),” Acts 18:12
  56. 56. Romans 14:1010 “But you, why do youjudge your brother? For wewill all stand before thejudgment seat of God.”
  57. 57. Paul explains to us that thisis where the Christian willreceive an evaluation forworks done in the body,whether good or bad.
  58. 58. The Judgment Seat ofChrist is not to be confusedwith The Great WhiteThrone Judgment.
  59. 59. Paul wanted the Lordshighest reward because thatwould be the most pleasingto the Lord, and would mostgraphically demonstrate hisgrateful love.
