  2. 2. HA1 - Technical File – Raster Graphic Raster Graphics are graphics that show the rectangular pixels that makes that image up. These pixels are viewable from a computer monitor and paper. Each pixel holds data used in creating the image. These graphics are easier to manage than Vector Graphics. Raster Graphics are more used in photography editing. CMYK is usually used in Raster Graphics. Photoshop and Painter are used to edit pixels (Raster Graphics). This Graphic is based on contones whereas Vector Graphics are based on line. The Raster graphic is made of pixels this means the image is easier to edit and is easier to mimic or change. Is where I found my information on Raster Graphics.   3. 3. HA1 - Technical File – Vector Graphic Vector Graphics are used in lines, points, curves and shaped to make images. Vector and Bitmap/Raster work well together to make images. A mathematical Formula is used when it comes to making a Vector Graphic. This means the image can be re-sized without it being distorted or pixelated. Vector Graphics are used in 3D filming and TV as well as illustrating. Vector makes a better image than Raster but not as easy to edit colour with. Vector images can be stretched and re-sized with no trouble at all. Vector also require much less memory than Bitmaps. Is where I am acquiring my information from for Vector graphics.   4. 4. HA1 - Technical File – Antialiasing Antialiasing is a software used to convert images with jagged stair like edges to smooth edges. The reason an image may have jagged edges is because to monitor may not have a high enough resolution to create smooth lines. Antialiasing software creates a gray outline around the image to loose its stair like appearance, but this does make the imaged fuzzy in some cases. This method is sometimes called oversampling. It is also used in video games and graphic cards. Is where I’m gain some of my information from. Is where I have found my image for this slide. The bitmapped image has a jagged outline. The anti-aliased image has a shaded outline to trick the eyes.
  5. 5. HA1 - Technical File – Resolution Resolution is the number of dots or pixels used in an image. The higher the resolution the clearer the picture/image. This refers to film and digital images. The resolution can be measured in lines per mm. The image bellow shows the different pixel resolution. Spatial Resolution is the resolution of lines. Spectral Resolution is the resolution of colour. Temporal Resolution is where high-speed cameras can change 100 frames into 1000 frames so that the image produced after is clearer. Radiometric Resolution determines how finely a system can represent or distinguish differences of intensity. was where I retrieved my picture and information for this slide.
  6. 6. HA1 - Technical File – Aspect Ratio Aspect Ratio is the ratio of an image( height and width). This is used in motion pictures it determines the physical size of the film. Television and computer monitors use 4:3 and HD televisions use 16:9. In the 1950’s almost all the motion pictures were 1.33:1. <These are the formulas used to determine the height and width. These ratios are very common. Is where I retrieved my information. Is where I found some information and images.
  7. 7. HA1 - Technical File – File Formats File format is the information that is encoded in a computer file. Gif, Jpeg, Tiff, Eps, PSD and PDF are some of the file formats found when saving a document. Gif (Graphic Interchange Format) can store low colour data such as logos. There 195,112 different file formats while all depend on the different files, programs and other data. These different formats compete with each other and also perform differently.
  8. 8. HA1 - Technical File – Colour Model A colour model is a mathematical model describing the way colours can be represented as numbers. Televisions transmit light using the additive; red, blue and green which helps the viewer see a clearer image. The RGB model consists of red, blue and Green. The CMYK consist of cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

You are able manipulate lines manipulate vector images.

Integrate interactivity, video, and audio for playback on tablets, smart phones, and computers.’ InDesign create books, poster, brochures ...ect. It supports EPUB and SWF formats.
