the Dominican Republic since the spring of 2014, where he has very limited Internet access and
electricity that comes and goes. He is thankful that there is running water.

3. Sam Gray Boulder CO: An Ecotourism Project
Sam Gray of Boulder CO attended the University of Colorado, where he majored in Economics
and International Affairs. After graduating in the spring of 2013 he volunteered for the Peace
Corps and is currently living and working in the Dominican Republic. His principle assignment is
to an ecotourism project, but he is gradually becoming involved in the community through
youth and women’s groups and by teaching English language classes.

4. Sam Gray Boulder CO: Painting a Basketball Court
Sam Gray of Boulder CO is a Peace Corps volunteer who is currently deployed to the Dominican
Republic, where he is assigned to an ecotourism project centered on a kayaking business

2014. As part of his initial in-country training, he helped build a swing set in Dajabon, a province
in the northwest part of the country, and helped paint lines on a community basketball court.
