Sally Pittman created art installations for the Urban Wijland 2009 art manifestation in Amersfoort, Netherlands from June 3 to June 28. For the countryside, she placed seven steel arches hung with hand-painted silks in an open field to illustrate connections. She also buried 45 meters of silk for two years, which deteriorated into amazing colors and patterns; this piece was displayed at the library of Amersfoort using a copper and yellow onyx framework.
